Continuity
We keep a community's directory and website online for twenty years, billed once, so nobody on your board has to think about it again.
Who it's for
Fellowships, alumni networks, trusts and clubs whose directory runs on a platform nobody maintains any more. The people who built it have moved on, the logins have been shared around, and the bill renews on a card someone has to remember.
What you get
- Your public directory as a static website, showing only what each member chose to make public. It holds no private data, so it has none to leak.
- Member login by an emailed link, with no password to remember. Members update their own profiles and see what's shared with members only.
- Your other websites, kept online as static sites on the same terms.
- Checks every five minutes, a public status page, and alerts that reach a person.
- Encrypted backups.
- One support contact for your members, so their questions don't come to you.
- An API for members who build their own apps, under a data-sharing agreement that protects everyone's data.
How the move works
- We back up everything in your current system, encrypted, and keep the backup.
- We build the new directory and run it alongside the old one until the data matches.
- One email goes to your members: the directory has moved, and this is how to log in.
- We switch your domain over, and retire the old system before its next renewal.
If we can't continue
The code is open source. If Oneroa Systems can't keep going, your data, domains and accounts go to whoever you name.
